I N N O V A T E

For this project I aimed to improve the communities in which we live and work and intern help transform the wider world. I seek to achieve this through the promotion of social vulnerability, human centred design that will enable and inspire people to change their lives and the lives of those around them for the better.

Living by the beach, filled me with ideas to improve this urban area as I knew that the beach is a location that reaches out to a very wide demographic of people. Following the beach, I noticed the lacking and alarming amount of wheelchair access for wheelchair users. So, I made some allocated areas for wheelchair users, making the area more accessible.

I created an awareness campaign, in response to my findings. I realised that people are naturally unaware to those who are in wheelchairs and their basic needs for movement, unless they are a wheelchair user or someone who helps a wheelchair user. The awareness campaign advert is featured below.
